So Very Fine...
You have to check out this beautiful and unique collection of F. Schumacher feather wallcoverings. The Nest Collection uses humanely gathered feathers that are applied by hand. I got to see several panels in person last week and they are amazing! I want to use this somewhere.... who is ready?

Design Inspirations
Inspiration for design can come from many places. In design school, I remember getting the opportunity to design a space from words we drew from a hat...things like clouds, the ocean, the different seasons, or the elements. I love it when a client comes to me and asks for an interior based on something special or unique.
My sister-in-law and her family are happiest at the beach. She has decorated the kids bathroom with objects they found on the beach, photos from their trips, and the walls and tile are in coastal colors. I feel happy when I see that room.
What inspires you? What makes you happy?
Here are a few of my favorite things and interiors or decor that reflect them.
Chocolate and Coffee
Some of the best things life has to offer. Warm, cozy, and comforting.

Their golden coat, soft brown eyes, and black noses.

Rainy Days
I love hearing the rain on the roof and a cozy day to curl up and read a good book. This coverlet and shams look like a rainy, cloudy sky.

Yellow
Yellow seems to be a strong contender for the "it" color this year. I have always like yellow combined with blue and white. One of my clients is combining yellow with soft greens and ivory for a beautiful bedroom. I really like yellow combined with gray, white, and a little black. Golden yellow combined with brown creates a warm palette and makes me think of the 1970's. Here are some of my favorite new things in yellow:
